Redmayne House

Fantastic Positive: We came here for a Traitorous weekend and the house and garden were perfect for games, laughter and great food.

Beautiful spacious house, loved the thought put into each room to accommodate for everyone Positive: Beautiful property with stunning decor Negative: Nothing absolutely loved it here especially the underfloor heating and special touches around the property

Positive: Large group accommodation, plenty of room to not be on top of each other. Negative: Cobwebs, WiFi a bit hit and miss. Biffa bin was full on arrival so struggled with rubbish disposal. Flush broken on WC in downstairs toilet.

Gorgeous house with lots of character. Perfect for big family get together! Positive: Gorgeous house with lots of character. Plenty of space for the family to be together or separate as needed. Negative: House was poorly cleaned which is not fair given how much we are charged as a cleaning fee after. We left the house far cleaner than when we arrived yet we still had to pay £350 cleaning fee.

A number of cleanliness issues but would return Positive: The property was spacious and well laid out for a large gathering of people/dogs. The garden was great for the dogs and humans, really lovely big secure space. Close by to so many shops, cafes, pubs and walks. Owner communications before arrival were excellent. It's a hard one as we had a great time and would consider returning but the cleanliness issues need addressed. The sad thing is I can see it has been mentioned in the reviews various times and nothing seems to improved. Negative: Cleanliness, it was obvious the house had been given a quick clean but it really needs a proper clean. Simple things like previous guest litter/items left under beds, sofas and in the hallway. We found empty juice bottles behind the bedside cabinets, someone's jogging bottoms left in the hallway floor, debris under the sofas. The kitchen cabinets needs checked as we found 3 obviously broken glasses which should have been thrown away prior to us arriving. All the floors really need a wash and the vast amount of cobwebs need hoovered up. The cobwebs aren't even in all the high places! The handwash and toiletries in all the bathrooms were lovely but more than one toilet roll per bathroom is needed. Especially if you are in the attic where 4 people share the ack and Jill bathroom, one toilet roll doesn't cut it.
