Great stay in lovely house in prime location Positive: Excellent location, fabulous size for a group of 16 people , plenty outdoor space ,great hot tub Negative: Frying pans

Large family break Positive: The house is a beautiful old house with lots of character, stairways and rooms to discover. All of the rooms are well proportioned and to a decent standard. The garden could do with a little TLC, but apart from that it was fantastic. Negative: Given the size of the house there could be more parking on the drive, room for three cars, but plenty of free road parking nearby. It was an animal auction day on a nearby farm on one of the days and we could hear the auctioning which was interesting in one respect. It would not put us off coming back.

Positive: Generally poor level of cleanliness and there was a dead mouse in the kitchen on arrival. Also charged an additional £300 to polyfilla a few holes surrounding the dart board.

Positive: Plenty of room for 4 families and garden was great. The showers had great pressure. The property management was very quick and helpful to reply. Negative: Wifi wasn't good/almost non-existent. In the end we all switched onto our mobile data. The kitchen was nice and big, but there were no large platter plates etc when we cooked (things you would need to cater big groups such as large platter plates, tea towels).

We stayed for a reading retreat and the location was perfect- the house has plenty of ideal reading corners for a lovely Positive: Beautiful And spacious
